President (2022-23) / Production Secretary (2023-24)
One of my proudest achievements, Bristol Collaborative Arts is a student art society that consistently punched above its weight.
Founding members Zaid Sater, Tom Clancy, Issy Chambers, Reuben Van Tankeren and myself set up the society in 2022 following a inability on behalf of the University of Bristol to properly connect students interested in careers in the arts.
I lead the branding of the society online, reached out to local artists and oversaw funded projects among many other duties.
We were granted Student Union affiliation in the few months of our founding and quickly became one of the fastest growing societies in the university, amassing 150 members in our first and second years.
We aided young artists through many different initiatives:
- Contributing £250.00 to fund members' projects
- Hosting talks with influential figures such as Adam Buxton
- Setting up an exhibition event for the end of the year which attracted 150 attendees
- Showcasing members' projects on our YouTube Channel, our most viewed video attracting 1 million views
